Quintessential Therapies Signature Treatment- Maga Technique
Poor posture, stress, exercise and injury all have a dramatic impact on the body. Back, shoulder and neck pain, dodgy hips or knees, the inability to bend or stretch properly, turn you head to look over your shoulder, debilitating headaches or migraines are all too familiar. As is the common grinding of teeth or jaw locking (particularly at night or periods of stress).
It is easy to live with these symptoms thinking there is no-one out there who can help... But, there is!
Dawn tailors the Maga Technique to the individual needs, which unlike many other treatments, works.
The combination of everything she has learnt (and experienced) since starting treatments (in 1986) removes tensions and realigns the body to not only reduce (relieve) the pain, the profound relaxation felt over the whole body is indescribable.

Testimonials
I train intensively five times a week and my muscles had become very tight and stressed, so much so that exercising was doing me more harm than good and my performance was dropping. I found Dawn on my fitness website and was really impressed by the fact that she tailors the treatment to the individual and is able to draw on a lot of expertise in order to find the right treatment. Not only is Dawn a friendly and warm person but she also listens which means that by the time she begins the treatment she has a good understanding of you and your body and how to put it right.
Dawn has treated me a number of times now and although it can sometimes be slightly physically painful as the muscles were so tight, the good she has done me is amazing. The muscles have been loosened up and I am able to train effectively for longer. At the same time a couple of postural issues have been sorted out. Dawn is a holistic practitioner in the true sense of the word, she addresses problems affecting each individual as a whole. I cannot thank her or recommend her more highly.

I have had many successful treatments from Dawn over the years that she has been treating me, but these two stand out in particular.
I am a qualified nurse and like many in my profession i have problems with back, shoulder and neck pain, this is also aggravated due to my height and having to work with shorter colleagues most of the time!
However, this particular day I woke up with acute shoulder and neck pain, thinking that I had probably just slept on it in an awkward position , I tried to get dressed but found that I was shouting out with the pain and knew that I had injured myself.
Foolishly, (looking back) I contacted my chiropractor first and received treatments over the next few days, but the treatment was slow and I was still in a lot of pain. Eventually after five days and a very large bill my shoulder was improving, but I was still on light duties for work and after a month my shoulder and neck was better, but not totally back to normal.
A month later I woke up in the same pain, this time I decided to contact Dawn. She was brilliant! We chatted and I explained what had been happening, we worked out that it may be tied in with my hormonal cycle. Also for some unknown reason I had been waking up with my arm up and tucked around my head!
Dawn started the massage, which although was very painful to being with, it soon started to ease. After the treatment I could feel an improvement, but still had some pain and didn't have full movement. I arranged to see Dawn again for a second session, again it was painful to start with, but eased a lot quicker, the treatment was amazing! After the treatment my shoulder and neck pain had improved, but not gone, however I took Dawn's advice and by the next morning the pain had almost gone, and by the following day it was an ache. A week later my shoulder and neck were feeling back to normal, in fact better than they had for a long time! More importantly I’ve not had any relapse, but if i did i would be making an appointment with Dawn and not the chiropractor!
